Who needs to upgrade?

This SIM card upgrade is for existing Zero1 customers who want to enjoy the full benefits of our enhanced 5G Standalone (SA) network.

You’ll need to upgrade your SIM card if:

  • You’re an existing Zero1 user and wish to access 5G SA
  • You received your current SIM before the launch of our 5G SA network

Note: New customers will automatically receive a 5G SA-compatible SIM card at sign-up — no action needed.

How to upgrade your SIM card

Upgrading to your new Zero1 5G SA SIM card is simple. Just follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Submit your request

Fill out the form above with your details and choose your preferred delivery method (postage or self-collection).

Step 2: Receive your new SIM

Your new SIM card will be mailed to you or made available for collection at our Customer Service Centre once your request is processed.

Step 3: Activate your SIM

You can activate your new SIM card using any of the following methods:

  • Check the activation instructions on the SIM card packaging
  • Use the Zero1 app to access the activation portal
  • Click the activation link provided in your confirmation email.

Step 4: Insert & Restart

After activation, insert the new SIM card into your phone and restart your device.
Ensure that mobile data is enabled and your phone’s software is up to date.

You’ll then be connected to Zero1’s 5G SA network, ready to enjoy enhanced speed, coverage, and reliability.

1. Do I need to upgrade my SIM?

If you’re an existing Zero1 customer and want to access our enhanced 5G SA network, upgrading is recommended.

2. Is there a cost for the new SIM?

No, the upgrade is completely free.

3. How long will delivery take?

Postage usually takes 3–5 working days. Self-collection is immediate upon confirmation.

4. What if my phone doesn’t support 5G SA?

You can still use your new SIM on 4G or 5G NSA networks, but won’t get the full benefits of 5G SA. Check compatible devices here.

5. Will I still get 5G service if I don’t upgrade?

You may still receive 5G NSA service, but it will rely on older infrastructure and won’t deliver full 5G SA benefits.

6. Will my phone number or plan change?

No changes to your number or plan; only the SIM card is updated.

7. Can I upgrade SIM cards for multiple lines?

Yes, just submit a separate request form for each line you wish to upgrade.

8. What do I do once I get the new SIM?

Follow the activation instructions provided on the SIM card packaging, through the Zero1 app activation portal, or via the activation link in your confirmation email.
Once your SIM is activated, insert it into your phone, restart the device, and ensure your mobile data and software are up to date.
