Zero1 is upgrading our 5G mobile network from 5G(NSA) to 5G(SA), with support for 5G+ – unlocking the full power of next-generation connectivity. With a fully dedicated 5G infrastructure, your mobile connection will experience faster speeds, greater responsiveness, and stronger coverage across Singapore. This is in line with IMDA’s decision to move all 5G networks to the SA version and phase out the support for 5G(NSA) by 31 Dec 2025.

Here’s how to enjoy Zero1 5G+.
Step 1: Device Compatibility
To ensure your device supports 5G Standalone (SA):
- We recommend checking Zero1’s list of compatible models. If your device isn’t listed, you can verify its 5G SA support by referring to the manufacturer’s website or your phone’s user manual.
- Alternatively, you can choose from a range of Zero1 phone bundles that are fully 5G+ compatible — giving you everything you need in one package.
Step 2: SIM Compatibility
To enjoy Zero1 5G+, you'll need a 5G Standalone-compatible SIM card or eSIM.
- New customers: Will automatically receive a compatible SIM or eSIM during sign-up.
- Existing customers: You do not need to take any action yet. We will notify you when it’s time to upgrade your SIM or eSIM to enjoy 5G+. Stay tuned for more updates from Zero1!

1. What exactly is 5G Standalone (SA), and why is it different from Non-Standalone (NSA)?
The new 5G+ network runs on standalone (SA) architecture – a next-generation 5G system that no longer relies on existing 4G infrastructure. Unlike the previous non-standalone (NSA) version of 5G, which used 4G for calls and other functions, 5G SA offers fully independent 5G connectivity for faster performance.
