Here’s how to enjoy Zero1 5G+.

Step 1: Device Compatibility

Make sure your phone supports 5G Standalone (SA) and is running the latest software.

Step 2: SIM Compatibility

To enjoy Zero1 5G+, you'll need a 5G Standalone-compatible SIM card or eSIM.

  • New customers: From 15 Sep 2025, you can purchase Zero1 5G+ plans or plans with a 5G+ trial to enjoy full Zero1 5G+ access. Explore 5G+ plans.
  • Existing customers: You do not need to take any action yet.
    • Customers on Streamo Freedom 5G, Movemo Dash 5G, and other previous 5G plans will receive a free upgrade to 5G+, which requires a new SIM/eSIM. We’ll notify you by email when it’s time to replace your SIM/eSIM.
    • Not on one of these plans? Upgrade today to enjoy the same benefits!

1. What exactly is 5G Standalone (SA), and why is it different from Non-Standalone (NSA)?

The new 5G+ network runs on standalone (SA) architecture – a next-generation 5G system that no longer relies on existing 4G infrastructure. Unlike the previous non-standalone (NSA) version of 5G, which used 4G for calls and other functions, 5G SA offers fully independent 5G connectivity for faster performance.

2. Will my existing monthly mobile plan change at all when 5G+ is enabled?

No, your existing monthly mobile plan will not change.

3. When will the 5G+ SIM upgrade for existing customers be available?

We will be contacting customers who are on the Streamo Freedom and Movemo Dash plans to upgrade their SIM cards soon. Do wait for our email for more information. Zero1 users on our other mobile plans can upgrade to the Streamo Freedom or Movemo Dash plan to enjoy 5G+ once the service is ready.

4. Will I lose service or experience downtime when I switch to a 5G+ compatible SIM/eSIM?

No, you will not lose service or experience downtime when you switch to a 5G+ compatible SIM/eSIM. You will be able to resume mobile services as soon as you switch your SIM.

5. Is there a cost to upgrade to a new SIM or eSIM for 5G+?

Users on the Streamo Freedom and Movemo Dash plans will be upgraded to a 5G+ compatible SIM for free. Not on those plans? Upgrade your plan to enjoy 5G+ benefits!

6. How can I check if my current phone supports 5G SA?

Visit this page for the list of popular smartphones that are known to support 5G SA, depending on model variants and software updates. Please check with your device manufacturer to confirm support in your region. This is not an exhaustive list of 5G SA-compatible devices.

7. Can I still use my current device or plan if it isn't 5G SA compatible?

Yes, you can still use your current device or plan if it isn’t 5G SA compatible. However, only 4G network will be available.

8. Will porting in from another provider be affected by the 5G+ rollout?

No, port-ins will not be affected by the 5G+ rollout.

9. How do I check if I have been provisioned with 5G+?

You may not see a separate “5G+” icon. As long as your phone displays the 5G icon, it means you are already connected to the 5G+ network.

10. Is there a way to opt-out of the 5G+ transition?

Streamo Freedom and Movemo Dash users cannot opt out of 5G+, which runs on our 5G SA network. Our 5G NSA network will be retired by 31 December 2025, and from then on we will operate only on 5G SA. If you’re on a 4G plan, you do not need to upgrade your SIM.
